Service contract

Preventive maintenance agreement

Unplanned downtime is one of the biggest hidden costs in production. With a service contract, your equipment is inspected and maintained on a fixed schedule, so wear is found before it becomes a failure.

  • Scheduled maintenance by our expert technicians
  • Priority support when you need help
  • Discounted rates on parts and labour
  • A longer machine life and consistent performance

Does your machine run more hours per week than it used to? Then it is wise to raise the maintenance frequency. We help you set up the right plan for your BOS, SPX, APV, Rannie or Gaulin machine.

Overhaul and refurbishment

A second life for your homogeniser

In our Hilversum workshop, machines are fully dismantled, inspected and rebuilt by our service team. Where needed, components are replaced with new or upgraded parts from our own production. We also supply refurbished homogenisers as a cost-effective alternative to a new machine.

  1. Dismantling and inspection

We carefully assess the technical condition of every part.

  2. Replacing wear parts

Items such as valves, seals and plungers are renewed.

  3. Upgrades where possible

Older systems are modernised with improved components.

  4. Testing and validation

Every machine is extensively tested against our quality standards.

  5. Documentation and warranty

Delivered with a full service dossier and a warranty period.

BOS hydraulic stations for homogeniser retrofit

Retrofit and upgrades

Modern hydraulics for existing machines

Outdated hydraulic systems lead to unexpected downtime, hard-to-find parts and higher maintenance costs. BOS modernises legacy set-ups with smart, efficient retrofit solutions, each tailored to your installation.

  • Flexible hydraulic hoses instead of rigid pipes
  • Electronic valves integrated directly into the unit
  • Cost-effective alternatives to original APV hydraulic units
  • Suitable for SPX, Rannie, APV, Gaulin and BOS homogenisers

Safety valves

Annual testing and certification

The safety valve is the last line of defence for your homogeniser and your production team. A valve that does not open at the right moment, or fails to close properly, can cause costly downtime, product loss or serious damage. That is why annual testing and certification are a must.

  • Confirms that the valve opens at the correct pressure
  • Prevents dangerous overpressure situations
  • Helps you stay compliant with industry standards

Tip: keep a second safety valve in stock. While one valve is with us for calibration or overhaul, the other keeps your homogeniser running.

FAQ

Questions about BOS service

Which homogeniser brands does BOS service?

We service our own BOS machines and provide independent maintenance and repair for Gaulin, APV, Rannie and SPX homogenisers. BOS is not affiliated with SPX.

Does BOS offer 24/7 support?

Yes. 24/7 Service and Support is available for customers in the Netherlands who have a maintenance contract, for a fixed annual fee. If a problem cannot be solved by phone, an engineer is on site within 2 hours.

Where does BOS carry out service?

On-site service by our own engineers is available in the Netherlands. In other countries we support you with parts, technical advice and training, together with our local partners. Overhauls and refurbishments are done in our workshop in Hilversum. An engineer travels abroad only in exceptional cases.

How often should a homogeniser be serviced?

That depends on the machine model, the product and the running hours. Daily, weekly, monthly and annual checks form the baseline. See our homogeniser maintenance schedule, or ask us for a plan for your machine.

Can BOS supply the parts needed for a service?

Yes. We keep more than 15,000 spare parts in stock for BOS, Gaulin, APV, Rannie and SPX machines, so parts and service come from one supplier.

Do you train our operators and technicians?

Yes. BOS Academy offers training that combines theory with hands-on practice, and more than 270 training videos are available in 13 languages in the BISC portal.

Parts, service or a new machine?

Tell us your machine type and serial number. You get an answer from a specialist, usually within one working day.
