Roulements dans les homogénéisateurs : types, capacités de charge et fréquences de remplacement

Bearings are among the hardest-working components in any homogenizer. They support the crankshaft, guide the connecting rods, enable smooth crosshead travel, and keep auxiliary shafts aligned. At BOS Homogenisers, we supply bearings for homogenizers from APV, Gaulin, GEA Niro Soavi, SPX, and other major manufacturers.

Types of Bearings Used in Homogenizers

Deep Groove Ball Bearings

The most versatile type. Handle both radial and moderate axial loads.

Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Significantly higher radial load capacity. Used at crankshaft main bearing positions.

Tapered Roller Bearings

Handle combined radial and axial loads. Often used in pairs to support crankshafts.

Needle Roller Bearings

High load capacity in compact radial space. Found at connecting rod positions.

Plain (Journal) Bearings

Soft metal shell around hardened steel journal. Rely on hydrodynamic oil film. See our article on filtres à huile.

Understanding Load Ratings

Dynamic Load Rating (C) and Static Load Rating (C0). L10 life formula: (C/P)^p x (1,000,000 / 60n).

Warning Signs of Bearing Failure

Increased vibration, unusual noise, elevated temperature, oil analysis results, visible damage.

Replacement Intervals

Bearing Location	Typical Service Life
Crankshaft main (rolling)	20,000–40,000 hours
Crankshaft main (plain)	12,000–25,000 hours
Connecting rod bearings	8,000–16,000 hours
Gear shaft bearings	25,000–50,000 hours
Motor bearings	20,000–40,000 hours
